Taif sits high enough to grow roses and to cool down in summer, about two hours up the escarpment from Jeddah. These day trips are compared on drive time, how much of the rose farms, Al Shafa and the cable car they cover, and whether lunch is part of the price.

Taif day trip from Jeddah with Shubra Palace photos, old-city gate and markets, park breaks, and mountain views.

“This Ta'if day trip was so fun and enlightening. Mohammed is an excellent guide, and he's also very generous. He speaks English well and is very knowledgeable. Overall, wonderful trip but unfortunately, the Shubra Palace Museum was closed under renovation during our visit, and we didn't know, so it's best to make sure it's open.”
